April 4, 2011 – Maritime Students go “From Words to Action”
Halifax, NS (April 4, 2011): Over 100 young leaders from 14 high schools and community groups from across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick will assemble for the Canadian Centre for Diversity’s Peer Leaders Forum, “A World without Stigma” on Tuesday April 5. This year’s theme, “From Words to Action,” focuses on how we can address discrimination and prejudice and effect positive social change.. With a powerful panel and small group workshops, youth will share experiences, discuss how others have taken action to make change in their communities, explore ways to take a stand and teach others to respect difference.
