Once a year, individual representatives of each Peer school will gather with the goal to contribute to the growth and development of the Peer Leaders Network.

This program teaches graduating Peers the fundamentals in diversity workshop delivery. Each Peer will co-facilitate at least one workshop for an audience of elementary or middle school students before being certified as Peer Leaders!

The reason the Peer Leaders Network exists! Each component of the program prepares Peers to develop in-school programs that will have the greatest impact on their school’s population. Peers act as ambassadors for the Canadian Centre for Diversity with the goal of teaching their fellow students the value of diversity, difference and inclusion.

An annual conference for all Peers Leaders in the region. A chance for Peers to network, learn together, celebrate successes and collaborate on ideas for school-wide initiatives.

A day long program comprised of visits to various places of worship and community and cultural centres. Outings give Peers an opportunity to learn how diversity and discrimination show up in the world beyond their school’s walls.

• Peers Community Portal: Learn and network virtually with Peers across the country
• Diversity Journey Maps: Chart your course for ongoing diversity and inclusion education

Three interactive in-school sessions that gets students started on their Peers journey. Participants are provided opportunities for team building; learn to address one’s own biases; and discovery of self and others. Workshops provide leadership and facilitation training, a chance to discuss school-specific diversity issues as well as collaborate on school-wide initiatives.
